Eunice Patterson
Licensed Health Insurance Agent
Guiding You with Compassion, Integrity, and Care
My background is in healthcare and community leadership, where I saw firsthand how confusing and overwhelming insurance can be for patients and their families. That experience shaped my desire to serve others with compassion, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
My journey into this work became personal when my mom became eligible for Medicare. Like so many families, we were overwhelmed by the paperwork, the options, and the lack of clear guidance. I became a licensed agent because I wanted to be the person I wish we had during that time—someone who could bring clarity, answer questions, and walk alongside us with patience and care.
Today, I specialize in helping individuals, families, and small businesses understand their health insurance options and choose plans that truly fit their needs. I take the time to listen, explain things simply, and provide personalized support every step of the way—so you can feel confident in your decisions.
What I Offer
Services
Medicare
Turning 65 or already enrolled? I walk you through the parts of Medicare, explain how plans differ, and help you choose coverage that fits your health needs and your budget. Whether you are looking at Medicare Advantage (Part C), a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan, or a standalone Prescription Drug (Part D) plan, I handle the paperwork and the details so you do not have to.
Covered California Enrollment
Covered California is the state's official health insurance marketplace. If you qualify, financial assistance can bring your monthly premium down significantly. I will help you understand your options, check your eligibility for subsidies, and complete your enrollment from start to finish.
Individual and Family Plans
Small Group Insurance
If you’re not yet eligible for Medicare and need health insurance, there are several options available to fit your needs and your budget. I’ll help you compare PPO and HMO plans, understand what’s covered, and choose the plan that’s right for you and your family.
I also assist with dental and vision options, annual renewals, and qualifying life event changes—providing personalized support every step of the way.
If you are a small business owner who wants to offer benefits to your employees, I can help you set up group medical, dental, and vision plans, assist with employee enrollment, and support you through renewals each year.
Dental, Vision, and Travel Insurance
Sometimes you need coverage beyond your main health plan. I offer standalone dental and vision plans, plus travel medical insurance for domestic and international trips through BlueCross BlueShield Global Solutions.
Medicare Education
New to Medicare? Here’s a Simple Overview
Medicare can feel confusing at first, especially with different parts, plan options, and enrollment timelines. Understanding the basics can help you avoid late penalties and choose coverage that fits your needs.
A
Hospital Insurance
Covers hospital stays and inpatient care. Most people pay no monthly premium for Part A if they or a spouse paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years.
D
Prescription Drugs
Specifically covers prescription medications. If your current plan doesn't include drug coverage, a standalone Part D plan can help lower pharmacy costs.
B
Medical Insurance
Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, and preventive services. This typically requires a monthly premium and works alongside Part A.
C
Medicare Advantage
An alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. These plans often bundle Part A, B, and D together, sometimes including dental and vision.
Medigap (Medicare Supplement)
M
Policies that help cover the "gaps" that Original Medicare does not pay in full, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. It provides more predictable healthcare costs.
When Can You Enroll?
Timing is everything with Medicare. Mark these important dates on your calendar.
01
03
Initial Enrolment Period (IEP)
Your first window opens 3 months before you turn 65, includes your birthday month, and closes 3 months after. That is a total of 7 months.
General Enrolment Period (GEP)
January 1 through March 31. If you missed your Initial Enrollment, this is your backup window. Coverage starts the following month.
02
04
Annual Enrolment Period (AEP)
October 15 through December 7 each year. This is the time to switch your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans for the following year.
Special Enrolment Period (SEP)
Available if you experience a qualifying life change, such as losing employer coverage, moving to a new area, or retiring.
Not sure which enrolment period applies to you?
I’d be happy to help you understand your options.

Silver
Premium Tax Credits
These help lower your monthly health insurance premium. The amount is based on your household income and family size.
If you qualify, you can use this financial help right away to reduce your monthly payment.
Gold
Covered California is the state’s official health insurance marketplace for individuals and families who do not have coverage through an employer, Medicare, or Medi-Cal.
Depending on your household income and size, you may qualify for help to lower costs.
Two Main Types of Financial Assistance
Cost-Sharing Reductions
Often available on Silver-level plans, these help lower out-of-pocket costs like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance when you actually receive care.
Enrollment Outside of Open Enrollment
If you experience a qualifying life event—such as losing coverage, getting married, having a baby, turning 26, moving, or losing Medi-Cal—you may still be eligible to enroll through a Special Enrollment Period.

"I met Eunice at a CVS store where she was offering her services for Medicare planning. It was all so confusing to me with all the Medicare parts A,B,C,D,G - PPO, HMO ...I had no idea where to begin.
Eunice explained everything to me and brought me up to speed on how Medicare works. She walked me through all the plans and options available (there were a lot!), checked which plans worked with my doctors and medications, and even got me on the right dental plan!."

No. My services are at no cost to you. I am compensated by the insurance carriers, so there is no fee for my guidance, enrollment help, or ongoing support.
-
I am licensed in California, Texas, Arizona, Minnesota, and Georgia. I work with clients across all five states for Medicare, individual and family plans, and small group coverage.
-
Not always. If you’re still working and have creditable coverage through your employer—meaning insurance considered as good as Medicare—you may be able to delay enrolling without a penalty.
If you don’t have creditable coverage, there are important deadlines. Your Initial Enrollment Period lasts 7 months, starting 3 months before the month you turn 65. Missing this window could result in late enrollment penalties.
Not sure what applies to you? I’d be happy to help you understand your options.
-
Possibly. If you have experienced a qualifying life event (losing a job, getting married, having a child, moving, etc.), you may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period. Contact me to find out if you qualify.

Eligibility is based on household income and size. Help comes as Premium Tax Credits (lowers monthly payments) or Cost-Sharing Reductions (lowers deductibles/copays on Silver plans). I can help check your eligibility at no cost.
-
IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) is an extra charge on top of your Medicare Part B or Part D premium if your income from two years ago exceeds certain levels. If your income has dropped due to retirement, we can request an adjustment.
